We have been planning to move our MA program online since before the COVID pandemic. We know that there are many early childhood professionals who are unable to seek an advanced degree because they live in remote areas or because their work and family responsibilities limit their flexibility. We wanted to meet this need, but we were also sad to lose the connections that happen in a classroom. We designed the program to have synchronous meetings so that the faculty and students would have regular opportunities to at least see one another and hear one another's voices in a virtual space.
