I am entering my 17th year working in the field of special education. I started as a classroom paraprofessional and behavior therapist in a school-based behavior clinic in Southern California for elementary students with moderate to severe disabilities. I then became a clinic supervisor before relocating to Sonoma County in 2012. Once here I worked as a social worker for North Bay Regional Center for 1.5 years while I completed my credentials here at SSU. I taught TK-2 for South County Consortium and RSP for 4th and 5th grades for Windsor Unified before taking my current role as Behavior Specialist in Windsor and finishing my Masters in Special Education at SSU. Now I provide school-wide, classroom, and parent consultation for preschool thru transition (age 22) on positive behavior supports as well as training for our teachers and paraprofessionals.
